What is the Muonio UV-O?

Muonio UV-O is UV-C disinfection unit For Surface and Air Disinfection. It neutralizes and sanitises room surfaces and protecting against coronavirus and other viral and bacterial infections using UV-C light.

	When operated, it works towards eliminating viruses, bacteria & fungi, including SARS, coronaviruses and mould, exposing the micro-organisms to the UV-C light.
	Disinfects exposed surfaces and air.
	Three-stage UV-C light protection – warning light, audio signal and movement detection.
	Does not generate ozone or any other harmful by-products.
	The UV-O is effective against all kinds of odours and harmful VOC – Volatile Organic Compounds.

Principle

UV-C radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water and nonporous surfaces and has been used for combating various diseases for many years.
UV-C lamp effectively eliminates harmful microbes (including the SARS-CoV-2 virus) directly exposed to radiation by breaking down their DNA structures.

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) breaks down certain chemical bonds and scrambles the structure of the organism, making it unable to reproduce within the host and no longer infectious.

Signify and Boston University validate the effectiveness of UV-C in inactivating 99% of SARS-CoV-2 virus within 6 seconds.
