Duplex Steel – Corrosion Resistant

The ECO 200 is made from Duplex 2205 stainless steel which has a very high corrosion resistance. Duplex steel offers higher corrosion resistance than traditional stainless steel types such as SS316L. Due to its high strength and corrosion resistance Duplex steel is widely used in the offshore oil and gas industry as well as in the petrochemical industry.

High Recovery Coil

The cylinder has a corrugated coil, meaning that the surface area is much higher than a normal coil of the same length. A higher surface area means that the energy can be transferred quicker from the heating system to the stored water in the cylinder. This results in a shorter recovery time, but it also means that you can run the heating system at a lower temperature while still maintaining a good heat transfer to the stored water. This makes the cylinder well suited for heating systems with high efficiency appliances like a heat pump or a condensing boiler.

Energy Efficient

The ECO 200 has 45mm of high quality polyurethane insulation. This high level of insulation means that the standing heat losses are only 33 Watts or 0.79 kWh per day. The cylinder has an ERP energy rating of A.
